For those who haven’t heard, I have a story in a little anthology called Nerve Endings. Well, I just found out today that our anthology was nominated for the 2017 Lambda Literary Awards! I’m a tiny bit excited. I rarely even get to stand near people who win awards, and this one’s got some prestigious folks in the running. In particular, Jennifer Finney Boylan’s Long Black Veil is in the running, and yes, that link goes to its Amazon page, and yes, you should buy and read it because it’s sweet and funny and heartbreaking and weird and, well, everything I go into a Boylan book hoping to find.

I don’t even care, though. One, her book’s great. It should win. And two, I have a story and our book, which is wild and wonderful and full of so much more than just my one little story, got nominated. And that’s amazing.
