We have worked on many books in the Scarred Lands role-playing game setting. In addition to our novel Vigilant, here are our Scarred Lands RPG books:
Slarecian Vault Titles
Sangus’s Guide to the Titanspawn
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/510364/sangus-s-guide-to-the-titanspawn
This Scarred Lands community project includes over 30 creatures for the setting, four new player species, plus new sub-classes, feats, spells, and magic items.
Sarah wrote an extensive introduction on the nature of titanspawn and created a spreadsheet that categorizes all the creatures written for the Scarred Lands to date for 3rd and 5th edition D&D. Fran wrote the short story Mancatchers (one of Sangus’s adventures) as well as Sangus’s creature introductions. We co-wrote the updated hags, haglings, and hex creatures in the book, as well as related appendix sections. Sarah edited most of the book; Fran edited Sarah’s writing. Casey Chapman, an auxiliary member of More Like This Industries, created the cover art and the creature illustrations for the sundered and surged giant.
Vigil Watch: The Walled Warren and the Slitherin Broods
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/440833/vigil-watch-the-walled-warren-and-the-slitherin-broods
A comprehensive guide to the Walled Warren, introduced in the 5th edition Scarred Lands Player’s Guide. Also includes 5e rules for playing each of the twelve ratfolk sub-species and converts most of the content from the original 3rd edition D&D book, Warrens of the Ratmen. Adds new items, backgrounds, feats, and numerous adventure hooks. The book also addresses the changes in how slitherin ratfolk fit into society between the 3rd and 5th edition releases of the Scarred Lands.
Ships of Ghelspad
Volume 1: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/427385/ships-of-ghelspad
Volume 2: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/432781/ships-of-ghelspad-volume-2
These two community project books describe over 200 water vessels for the Scarred Lands, or any appropriate RPG setting. For the first book we each created several new ships, but also tracked down each mention of a ship from the 3rd edition Scarred Lands publications and added descriptions of each one. The second volume is mostly new ships, as we had many more ideas than what would fit in a single volume.
Frostlands of Fenrilik
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/328484/frostlands-of-fenrilik
Frostlands was our first major community content title for the Scarred Lands, which reintroduced the Fenrilik setting for 5th edition D&D. It has been one of our best sellers on DriveThruRPG. Sarah wrote the bulk of the first three chapters that detail the settings and lore of the region. Fran co-wrote the inn descriptions with The Heretric, and we both worked with Travis Legge to review and edit the book.
Frostlands of Fenrilik: Yenie’s Journal
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/337259/frostlands-of-fenrilik-yenie-s-journal
About half the journal entries that Sarah wrote for Frostlands of Fenrilik were cut for space, so we decided to publish it in an additional book. We added more journal entries and a detailed map for the city of Kovokimru. This book also includes a handful of other bonuses, like create coffee, a practical, if silly, spell.
Friends and Foes of the Frostlands
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/358883/friends-and-foes-of-the-frostlands
This community project offers a wealth of NPC stat blocks for the Frostlands setting. Fran and Sarah wrote the People of Kovokimru chapter, with full statistics and deeper backgrounds on many of the people introduced in the previous two Frostlands books, and much more. We also edited the complete book.
Vigilant Training Missions: Maritime Patrol, or Oh Bouy, What a Bloody Oar-Deal
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/307698/vigilant-training-mission-maritime-patrol
This was our first module for the Slarecian Vault. We ran Scarred Lands games at conventions to promote Vigilant, and this little one-shot was so popular that we decided to publish it as a module. It’s a fun little adventure with colorful characters, interesting pre-gen PCs, and a detailed, full-color ship map. Casey created the cover and internal artwork.
The Mists of Algos
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/317702/the-mists-of-algos
This module works both as a sequel to Maritime Patrol or as a standalone pirate adventure. It was written by Sarah from a detailed outline created by the Scarred Lands line-lead, Travis Legge. Fran did the editing and Casey created the cover.
This book also taught Sarah that they enjoy writing novels and sourcebooks a bit more than modules.
The Serpent Amphora 5e Quickstart
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/304836/the-serpent-amphora-5e-quickstart
Sarah helped Scarred Lands line-lead Travis Legge on this conversion of the original 3rd edition D&D Serpent Amphora mini-module to 5th edition. Sarah also added pre-generated characters based on the characters that show up in the prologue of our novel Vigilant, and play-tested the module with the new rules.
The book includes the complete Dungeons and Dragons Systems Reference Document v.5.0, everything game masters and players need (besides dice) to play 5th edition D&D in the Scarred Lands.
Calendar of the Scarred Lands
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/298038/calendar-of-the-scarred-lands
This is our first title for the Slarecian Vault, and one of our best sellers. It’s a simple but essential tool for Scarred Lands game masters to track in-game dates when they matter—which can be a lot in a world with 400-day / 16-month years, 25-day months, and 8 to 9-day weeks, as well as two important moons and zodiac signs that impact the story. It gets confusing quickly without a good calendar to reference.
Other Titles
Scarred Lands: Dead Man’s Rust
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/395412/scarred-lands-dead-man-s-rust-5e-ogl
Fran wrote entries for the Golden City, the Reed Clan of Broadreach elves, the Hornsaw Sentinels, and various NPCs and items. Sarah (unofficially through Fran) contributed Titan Scarred, an official favored terrain for rangers.
Scarred Lands: Creature Collection
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/509600/scarred-lands-creature-collection-retail-version
As Kickstarter backers, we supplied the Dream Shadow for this first conversion of Scarred Lands creatures to 5th edition D&D. We use Dream Shadows extensively in our Scarred Lands campaigns as a tool when players can’t make it to games. Sometimes the creatures themselves become part of the plot.
The Wise and the Wicked 2nd Edition
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/509604/the-wise-the-wicked-2nd-edition-retail-version
Our very first contribution the Scarred Lands (before Vigilant). As Kickstarter backers, we helped design a canonical version Fran’s character Jervis, who will eventually appear in future novels.
